Stanegate Cottage is a beautifully presented two-bedroom cottage with extensive views over open countryside and only a few minutes away from the nearest section of Hadrian's Wall at Walltown. The cottage is situated in the central area of Hadrian's Wall within close proximity to the main Roman sites and museums, such as Housesteads, Vindolanda and Birdswald. It has been imaginatively converted from the original byre, part of the 250-year old former Banktop Farm.

The cottage is furnished and decorated to a high standard, with polished wood floors and pine furniture, and provides quality accommodation for up to four people.

The cottage is centrally-heated, and offers two bedrooms, one with a king-sized bed and the other with twin beds.

Both are beautifully furnished with attractive bed linen and accessories.

Guests can relax in the living room with its welcoming wood-burning stove; TV, video, DVD and CD/radio are available.

The kitchen area is well-equipped with gas cooker, fridge, microwave oven and washing machine.

The bathroom has a large shower cubicle, toilet, wash-hand basin with razor point, and heated towel-rail.

A sunny courtyard to the front, and a patio area with garden furniture to the rear, offer guests the perfect place for quiet relaxation on a summer's evening ... and maybe a barbecue.
