The Sportsman was originally two houses Barnett and Dunstanburgh house until it was converted into a b&b guesthouse thirty five years ago. Offering fabulous views of the Northumberland coastline the surrounding country and Heritage coastline in front of the hotel has been designated an area of outstanding natural beauty.
The accommodation comprises 12 bedrooms all of which have been refurbished to a high standard.
Within the Sportsman Inn is a comfortable restaurant which, following a Daily Telegraph review, was one of two restaurants recommended as places to have dinner in Northumberland. Here you can try some of the best seafood and both meat and game dishes and enjoy the excellent range of hand picked wines.
The Sportsman Inn has a large heated patio area where, weather permitting, breakfast can be enjoyed whilst enjoying the fresh sea air and views of the best beach in Northumberland. There is also a lawned area where you can sit and enjoy an early evening drink before dinner or even a night cap before bed.
