Golf in Northumberland
Golf in Northumberland is a particularly well catered for sport with numerous golf courses throughout the Northumberland countryside.
Northumberland has, for a long time, been well known for having some of the most scenically beautiful courses in the UK. There are 9 and 18 hole golf courses throughout the County catering for all levels of experience.
Many of the golf courses have licensed facilities within the club houses and sometimes, additionally, have restaurants. Many of the courses have a resident golf professional on hand should you wish to improve your game.
One of the most spectacular courses is the course set within parkland at Burgham Park (Telephone 01670 787898). The course is a few miles to the North of Morpeth close to the A1. The course overlooks the Simonside Hills and is set within gently rolling countryside.
In addition to the main course, Burgham Park has an excellent practice area as well as a grass bay driving range.
